It is amazing that they let these Marxists up on stage. I saw some conservative hack performer in 2004 sing this song for the inaugural (or perhaps it was an Iraqi freedom concert) but they left out the last verse and I thought it was fitting that it was sung yesterday.
In the squares of the city - In the shadow of the steeple
Near the relief office - I see my people
And some are grumblin' and some are wonderin'
If this land's still made for you and me.
It shows you the strong contrast between the past 8 years and the Future. The Dems hate America and the GOP loves the concept unconditionally.
As I noted below, the goal of the GOP is to try to win the African American vote by telling them that their backs are covered by the GOP and there wrists are shackled by the Dems. That isn't a racist statement but a shrewd plan of action. The GOP has eroded workers rights and social safety nets. They have allowed our inner cities to become crime infested rat holes through massive budget cuts. Poverty runs rampant and health care for our most poor is brutal. The GOP is making black America worried about Marxism? Marxism was concocted to fight the injustices that inner city blacks see every day. Unless the GOP just wants the Wall Street type blacks. Then they don't have to talk about promoting social welfare and just talk about corporate welfare.
