According to a recent op-ed piece by Floyd and Mary Beth Brown there is trouble on the horizon because President Obama promises to relax admission requirements for the military. Did President Obama promise to accept foreign nationals into the military? No, that was started under the Bush Administration (in exchange for citizenship) to address recruitment shortfalls.

So one might wonder why the Browns are in such a tizzy over President Obama's tinkering with the military? I'm not sure what is it about people like Floyd and Mary Brown that compels them to treat homosexuals and others as second-class citizens.

Knowing the Browns' dubious past, my question to The Phoenix is this; if you plan to keep the Browns as columnists, can we assume that your new standard for elevated discourse will be that the commentary merely needs to be a notch above Klan propaganda?
