Happy 230th

Happy Birthday to poet Sir Thomas Moore

I feel like one,
Who treads alone
Some banquet-hall deserted,
Whose lights are fled,
Whose garlands dead,
And all but he departed!

"O"-K. Is this supposed to be some kind of "gotcha", with a reference to the contemporary of Lord Byron with an image of the contemporary of William Shakespeare - with the background portrait of Henry VIII aka Ann Boleyn's hubby and last barber to - the Catholic bible-reading Saint Thomas More (or maybe he's reading the 16th century statutes on torture of religious fanatics).
Do I win a week's vacation at St Kitts or south of Sarasota?

For some history and free fun on this side of the pond, from the days when the poet was Walt Whitman, up in Schwenksville this Saturday and Sunday there's a two day civil war reunion with reenactments, talks with Abraham Lincoln and what should be an interesting presentation at 1:00 pm on Sunday on the underground railroad in this area. It's at Pennypacker Mills near 29 and 73.
Click here for a pdf brochure. For a bit earlier history you could always take the kids and head west to the Renaissance Fair and hear songs about credit reports.
