I don't know if this is the final layout. I am not very sold on it but try it out and tell me if there are any bugs.

Okay, I saw the transition and hated having the comments ahead of the bulk of the text. I'm glad you dumped that.

It seems harder to read the text this way. The contrast between letters and background is jarring.

The background fudging The Colonial is fine.

Agree with 11:53 - With Colonial, nice but too busy to read easily.

Functionally, it works. Check your color palette as the yellow on beige is barely discernible (ref post Happy 230th).

I like this one! It's easy to find everything and when I'm reading, all I think about is the subject -- I'm not distracted by typeface, background, etc.
