Tea baggin!

Here is the article from the Phoenix about the tax day tea party. I think the organizers should look into the history of the Boston Tea Party to check if that is the reference they want to make. I assume that unlike the original tea party, this group does not question the ability of the current government to levy taxes. I assume that the representation that is claimed to be lacking as a basis for taxation is the fact that Republicans no longer run the show. That is a bit different from the original concept.

And this Sheepdog thing. Don't we pay for this war through taxation of our people and businesses? Here is my favorite by far:

Peppel said that she’s excited that the American Sheep Dog from West Chester will be on hand.

“They are a veterans organization that does pro-American rallies in opposition to the anti-american/anti-war movement,” she said. “We know their presence will make an impact on others.”

So we invited the Pro American/Pro War people, great. Are the Pro American/Anti War people invited also? Do the Sheepdogs even think that it is possible for someone to be both?

This will be the first campaign stop for Sweet Lou Amici. Go out an check out the new stump speech. Ask him if he ever lobbied for public money for any causes.
