Council Election year is here. We get so tired and bored of all these glitzy national and statewide elections. It is down here in the mud that we like to get. There should be enough neighborhood issues that make each ward a little more interesting. We have Holy Ghost, the Library, The THP dedication issue, some lingering hospital issues, and the overall Borough issues to make a straight party vote a little less certain.

The Democrats have everything to lose. They have 4 seats up and the mayors slot. Think back to all those 5-3 votes this year (CDC Contract) and think of how it will be different with someone else in one of those seats. Rumors have swirled for a while that 3 of the 4 Councilmen will not seek reelection. Not sure if that still is the case but we should get some new blood in there. Perhaps a few women.

Consider this the starting gun.
