The article doesn't actually go over the state of our schools but the title grabs you. The following quote does not sound like this was a voluntary resignation and that secrecy that seems to be all around is never good. Red flags all around.
One was from Josh Gould, who made it clear before the vote and again Friday that he had worried about "a leadership vacuum," that consideration should have been given to retaining Schwab until a new appointment could be made. "This is not a slam on Dr. Richmond; she's done a great job," he said. He underlined Williams's point that she was new, and would be functioning without an assistant.
On Friday also Wickstrom said that he, like Gould, "had been urging patience. But ultimately the right decision was reached by both Dr. Schwab and the Board."
