"Writing on controversial issues and assuming a public position takes no small measure of private courage especially when digging deep into a subject which sometimes no one else wants to touch." - Karen Johns
Apparently writing your opinion on blogs is courageous. Look at all the courageous people. I guess it is the same as our kids going over to other countries to fight wars. Can anyone be more full of themselves than this?
Courage, may be partially defined as going to a foreign country to fight. Courage can also be partially defined as calling out the cowards that sent those kids to fight in an unjust war, decided to have those same kids be saddled with the debt of the war, and eroded the same constitutional guarantees they are so valiantly fighting to defend.
Am I full of myself for having an opinion? Is Ms. Johns? If you believe so, I feel sorry for all of us. Opinions change others minds.
In closing, go fuck yourself!
i often try and fuck myself, so i don't need you to tell me that, but thanks anyway. My point wasn't that expressing your opinion makes you full of yourself, but rather saying to people that you are courageous for doing so is being full of yourself. That is just ridiculous. Oh, I'm sorry mr foohey, did I strike a nerve because you are both in the "old club". Don't tell me your gonna stick up for her just because she's in the club? I hope not because I thought you had more spunk then that. If anyone else made this statement you would be all over them like fly's on shit. Speaking of shit - I gotta go!
I don't get this "old club" business either.
In this town, speaking your mind and signing your name to that speech is courageous. Among TPTB who run Phoenixville, vindictiveness is common, which is why I never sign my name on these blogs. I'm sick of cleaning up the mess afterwards when all I want to do is work on my projects in peace.
To say otherwise means that you're one of TPTB that try to sabotage the public airing of opinions (yes, I have evidence for that statement) or you've never tried to do any type of public project in Phoenixville.
If these commentor are the latter (although I'm not hopeful as the word structure says otherwise), then I encourage you to try doing a public project in Phoenixville and see how far you go. It's a learning experience that everyone should have and with more new projects, TPTB will wear themselves out trying to keep out the "rabble" which means more will actually get done that is of actual use to Phoenixville residents.
