Council should not guarantee anything until this is corrected. If these guys don't want to conform to regulations then disband the PA on Tuesday night.I really would like to see this happen.Bring in an outside company and lease it to someone with a track record and experience.

I agree Joe. I'm pretty sure the Borough staff makes sure these people all get the form for filing but unfortunately doesn't follow up very well, if at all. I think staff might assume that those affected are all adults and should be capable of reading and following direction in order to comply. But when even the Council President scoffs at the requirement what would anyone expect from a lowly Parking Authority member. I am equally frustrated and don't know what to do. Complaints have been filed and Harrisburg does nothing. It's like a big feaken joke but no one told the electorate.

Council created the PA. It would be of the best interests of Phoenixville to un-create the PA.

I believe the justification for the Parking Authority was because Council was already pretty much overwhelmed by their existing agendas and they didn't want to increase staff costs to assist in an internal parking management effort. Therefore the authority was going to save time and money by its formation. What a freaken joke. First lets appoint a member group that is clueless regarding what it is a parking authority is supposed to do. Then let them appoint an incompetent "director" who couldn't put a business plan or presentation together if his life depended on it. Lets also make sure most aren't inclined to fulfill their legal Ethics and Financial Interest Statement obligation or if they are willing to do so, do so very late and with dishonest/fraudulant information. How are we doing so far? Now we're going to spend the money anyway, spend more time monitoring the incompetence of the Parking Authority, particularly their "director", than if they did it themselves with staff assistance. Plus they will still have a failure on their hands. I feel like I live in bizzaro world.
