Deep Seeded Hatred

Posted by Mr. Ellsworth Toohey

I very much hope that when I die, there is no column like this one printed about me. I can think of a few people in town that I could write a similar article on.

From the first paragraph of the McClatchy column:

Well, the aptly named Robert Strange McNamara has finally shuffled off to join LBJ and Dick Nixon in the 7th level of Hell.

Well I could get busy here myself writing a similar column. I would probably start with those people at Holy Ghost Church who seem to be digging the hell out of any tunnel that might be on their property? Why can they start construction digging all of those holes when there are underground tunnels. The church president calls the tunnels FOLKLORE???!!! That is our history you are destroying. We need people to demonstrate and picket... We are not FOLKLORE.. THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD IS HISTORY!!! Seems like they think they don't need to listen to anyone!!! WHERE IS THE STATE HISTORICAL SOCIETY???

Did you take pix with your cell of them digging? We need evidence, not a bunch of talk and emails.

Anyone with any knowledge of public sewer systems would understand that a perk test is not done on a parcel with public hookup. dah...

Understanding this should indicate that the diggers at HG were not doing any perk test. If that was their explanation when the town investigator questioned, then they are misleading you folks. No parcel with public hookup to the borough sewer sytem would require a onsite turkey mound or septic system nor a perk test near water or foundation of church- especially without borough awareness.

This digging should be questioned.
This digging could be the phase I of the new Educational Bldg they planned for July 2009.
This digging is only the beginning.
No secret plan or legal angle will stop the board from moving forward with their agenda - with or without ownership determination.

End of story.

It seems the town folk have been trying to help were crucified as the owners can't or won't trust each other. This SNB angle to handle things quietly will fail. None of your efforts resulted in being on the same page with those who want this land preserved therefore you are as guilty as the board under J Bilanin, M Samilenko and/or J Ely of selective decision making on behalf of your own people.

.. This man was sent here to divide and that has been achieved.. Either aALL OF YOU speak at the hearing or quit wasting money. Who's the coward?

I do not know where else to write this but as a concerned parent:

How can a 20 foot hole be dug without any protection for the children in the daycare at HG church?

Why were the areas of bulldozer work not fenced off or daycare closed for the day?

Scary! Is the people who run the daycare the same people who run the church? The children walking in and out could have been hurt. Huge liability! What were they digging for? Where they able to protect the possible grave or tunnels that are there? It is not folklore but fact.. common knowledge. There is a difference.

That is deep seeded something.

Sometimes patience is required to acheive great things. We will all speak at the meeting. We are lining up speakers to fill the entire room to capacity. The people that Evans has bussed in will look like small fry compared to the specialists that will be there from around the neighboring counties!

The borough only cares about the people who pay the tab, not neighboring counties!
