The Phoenix announced today that Shannon McDonald will be the new editor as it transitions into a weekly newspaper.  A recent Temple Grad, she is coming off an internship with the "Great Green Lady" AKA The Fishtown Spirit.  You may recognize the Fishtown Spirit by their hard hitting editorials deriding their neighbors Kennsington.  It is my hopes that Ms. McDonald has the ability to help return the paper to a respectable publication.

What is she.....14 years old? At least that's what her picture makes her look. She was the most qualified applicant? Was she the only applicant? Only the Phoenix. I don't expect any reporting/editing that will be Phoenixville related since she has absolutely no history here or experience for that matter. I can guarantee she doesn't even know where the borough starts and ends.

She can learn. They don't pay much. I just hope a certain reporter doesn't schmooze and manipulate because she is young and female

Yo Anonymous. Stop being so pissy. Did you call or email the woman like I did?

She seems smart and if enough people keep after her about important stories like pasd, borough council idiots and lieberry jackass plans, then she'll learn and inform everybody.

C'mon, give her a chance. This is a hard town to get to know. The last reporter that really knew the town was, I believe, Tom Feeley (or something like that).
