Does it scare anyone that one of the major US political party's platform has become secession and torture?

So torture is good? That is what Pinochet said. That is what Stalin said. Pol Pot, too.
Maybe you are looking at the Democrat party platform? That's what was in there at one time - secession (Confederacy) and torture (slavery).
Isn't it amazing how many brainless political blogs use straw man arguments to make their point?
One Republican governor mentions the 10th Amendment to the Constitution (not secession) in a press conference and it now in some peabrained blogger's head it becomes a statement of secession and (in his fantasy world) also the platform for the entire Republican party.
The current administration (who still hasn't shut down Gitmo or reversed any of Bush's policies regarding detainees) releases information about the torture under the prior regime and now that too (in the same fantasy world) becomes the GOP party platform.
Brilliant! Some of the finest intellectual masturbation I've seen in years.
