RIP

I didn't want to be the one to break the news but Watching Phoenixville took care of that for me. This is truly a sad day for Phoenixville. Skip was one of the few people in Phoenixville that I thought was an objective observer. That doesn't mean that I thought all of his objective observations were correct but there was thought put into his commentary. He was the only person I have met in the Borough that actually understands the Borough. The reason for the articles that drowned us in nuance was the fact that he wanted to explain us to . . .well . . us. I think he really understood the main conflict that faces the Borough. The possible vs. reality. The limitless vs the limited.

I lost a pretty cool friend and confidant yesterday and I think that things will be a bit different in Phoenixville for some time to come.

Over the past year, I became quite close to SKIP and get your post as he was exactly as you describe.

It is a sad day...

He had a way of giving you that smile, taking out his notepad and putting you at ease over whatever he was reporting. His education and appearance were contraditory as he seemed so laid back but had more common sense and brains then the entire borough council put together - and more educated then any of them too which was so clear.

The town will miss him.
I will miss him.

The Lord will have a great friend to help him work the gates as Skip has the deeds of you all in his back pocket which he can use to help Saint Gabrial in determining who gets what Rolls Royce to ride amongst the angels.
