ABC has a story out yesterday about Joe Cassano, the guy that brought down AIG. He sounds surprisingly like Andy Faustau, which was the smacked ass that brought down Enron. Both used off shore accounts and fake transactions to keep their dealings off the actual books of the company. Until the AIG book comes out, read the book Conspiracy of Fools or watch the movie Enron, the Smartest Guys in the Room (played at the Colonial). Both are terrifying when you think of how far someone will go to make money.
I am afraid that is what happened to AIG.
