Thank you Lord that Doug Glanville (never accused of Steroid use) is there to defend Alex Rodriguez. I am a big baseball fan. I am really disappointed that there will not be a hall of fame class in the next 20 years that will not include the talk of steroid use. Clemens would have been a first ballot choice. McGuire has already been passed over. Bonds will never be close to the hall of fame and could possibly have his HR record removed. It is sad when you think that Pete Rose should be considered before any of the monsters of the past 10 years. 2001: Established Rangers single-season records for home runs (52), runs scored (133) and total bases (393). 2002: Hit 57 home runs - breaking his own Major League record for home runs by a shortstop in a single season - 142 RBIs and 389 total bases. 2003: Named the American League Most Valuable Player for the first time. Also awarded the honour in 2005 and 2007. Hit 42 home runs and stole 46 bases while batting .310 in 2003. Simply put, he cheated by using a banned substance. No matter how entertaining his play was in those years, he had an unfair advantage. I really hope that for the sake of fairness, the rest of the names are released because he should not be the only one hanging in the wind while 103 of his fellow league mates were also guilty of the same crime.
In the 3 years that he admitted to using the juice, his stats were amazing (though he has continued with a high level of play).
