Here is the Collins/Nelson removal list for the stimulus bill that slashes $80 billion off the bill. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to their decision on what to cut (though the footnotes make it totally a political move). A lot of this stuff can be put into a traditional appropriations bill and duked out later. Education spending would help out the states and listening to Ed Rendell yesterday, Pa needs it.
