The 'senior housing' market

Skip gets the nuts and bolts of this issue right but leaves out a pretty large point. The reason there is so much talk about these projects and why there are three on the book are because these are government subsidized projects. So is the Fairview Project also. In this economy, where the credit market is tighter than Rich Kirkners budgets, no one is getting financing for anything else. These projects are all we have. Well, the Barto project is still out there and we will see where that goes but we are expanding off government money. The Arts and Entertainment model put out by Barry Cassidy for the downtown will be patronized by our newest residents, the hip 80 something crowd.

Here is a bit of a wake up call. . . . . . . . . . . . .Your town has been hijacked by people that have concerns for their own egos and wallets. It is time to put some sanity back in this town.
