I would like to take the last week of 2008 and touch on 5 of the issues that have impacted (or will impact) the Borough this year. Some will have pretty dramatic consequences for the community as a whole. Some will seem like a whimper. Either way, it was a year that we can look back on and say that some decisions were made that will have a big impact on the future of the Borough.

The Issues

1) The Approval of the Apartment Overlay District (Barto and 14 stories of fun) Ordinance change.
2) The KES fiasco
3) The swearing in of a new Borough Council with no members named John Messina.
4) Hiring of a new Borough Manager
5) The Holy Ghost Church mess
