Remember the good old days when the televised PASB meetings were an annoying distraction while you remoted your way from Phoenixville Council meetings and QVC? Not anymore, kids. Set the TIVO. It's ReOrg season and more wacky statements.
from Saturday's Phoenix:
Former Board member Nancy McAvoy raised significant questions about the factual claims of the Kimberton report. Had the Board been uninformed about environmental problems on the property? No, she said. "Time and again we discussed [it]. That's why the testing was done."
Former Board member Fred Parry was "appalled at your findings…. [They] are misleading to the public. You're not being honest." About the loss of a superintendent after four months: "I hold you responsible," he said, stabbing a finger at the Board. He found the whole exercise "bad for morale" within the district "and in the community in general."
Former Board member Kelly Connors was "shocked, saddened and dismayed" at the report, "not by the information there but by [its] character assassination." But "the worst," she said, "is the direction this Board is moving." She cited one current Board member's recent comments that she regarded as "a threat" to current administrators.
