Perhaps We Could Just Invest In An Umbrella

Proposed tax increase lowered

The heavy hand of Leo Scoda comes down upon the Borough administration and forces it to do the impossible. What a story. One we will all tell our kids when they are saddled with no rainy day funds. Don't get me wrong, a 13.8% tax increase was not where we need to be but a temporary infusion of money transfered from savings to checking is not a budget solution. It is a lot like the previous comments I have made about capital improvements. By spending our savings and allowing our assets to crumble, we are devaluing our Borough. Spending cuts were the needed answer. Instead of that we got a hypothetical cut in wages and a transfer of $125,000 from savings to the CDC's bank account. This is your Borough on Krack!

Enjoy your weekend!

Explanation of photograph, please.

It seems to have nothing to do with the subject.

And yes, I do recognize: Mayor Scoda, Carole Rubley, and Jim Gerlach. Even the old bridge at the Steel Company.

So, wazup?

It was the only picture I could find while I was on vacation and trying to keep up with things.
