Will a Gitmo detainee go back to his home country and run for President claiming he was a war hero because he spent 5 years as a tortured POW????? The difference between McCain and some of these prisoners is that they may have plotted the bombing of civilian targets while he actually carried out the bombing of civilian targets. Both were tortured for their crimes. Neither received a trial. Both North Vietnam and the United States are wrong for the way they treat (US) or have treated (NV) POW's.
