Getting the talking points straight

From CBS News:

In an interview with CBN’s David Brody, Sarah Palin signaled her support for a constitutional ban on gay marriage, a position that John McCain once described as “antithetical in every way to the core philosophy of Republicans.”

I can never follow what issues my party wants the "States Rights" argument invoked or the "Federal Rights" argument. With over 50% of marriages ending in divorce, how much worse could homosexuals destroy the institution. I adore my heterosexual marriage and I am a happier person everyday I wake up next to my wife. If a gay couple wants to experience that also, who are we to say no?
