I believe that what we are seeing, whether McCain loses or wins, is the loss of any respect that anybody had for this man and for his career. Any politician that can completely change all that he stands for, change all his campaign philosophy, and treat another opponent with such contempt, all for the sake of "energizing the base"(that doesn't like him in the first place), is pathetic. If he wins, we will say that he would take any measure (no matter how low) to reach his goal. If he loses, he will never be taken seriously, on any level, ever again. It is a shame. I once thought (eight years ago) that he was a man of dignity. Today, I just shake my head.
