Drinking game

Posted by Mr. Ellsworth Toohey

I am drinking every time McCain says the "surge is working" and calling himself a "Maverick". I am feeling a bit tipsy.

---Update --- I am glad I don't have to drive home.

---Further update --- I am so drunk I don't think I can punctuate

Ellsworth, I feel your pain, oh…wait….sorry wrong Presidential debate. I played the same drinking game every time I heard BO state, “I agree with John… (A total of eight times).” I felt as though I was watching a rerun of the 157th debate.

If BO wants to make a big deal about how Henry Kissinger might have misspoken regarding having unconditional meetings with Iran, he might want to have a long, long conversation with Joey. Biden has not only misspoken, misstated and misidentified basic platforms in BO’s policies but he cannot remember when television was invented or when the Great Depression occurred. I have even heard that instead of appearing at the debate next week, Joe has been booked on Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader.

Not going into my own personal politics, I see this election as one of the most divisive in the history of this country and my long memory. As long as politicians continue to create class warfare and further drive the wedge deeper among its citizens, nothing good can come from their legacies and we continue a stalemate in the quagmire.

Having been a serviceman and having seen both the good and the worse that mankind has to offer, we can ill afford to make a mistake in this election. There needs to be a clear and proven leadership to appear prior to the election.

I personally expected Obama to do better and McCain to be a little weaker in the debate last night. I was impressed by McCain.
I have respect for McCain based solely on his years spent as a POW. He has been tested. He has been broken. He has survived. He can certainly do this.
Obama initially sounded good, but he has not been tested and he has fizzled out. Harvard means nothing to me. Harvard grads got us into this mess.
