Today's letter to the editor in the Phoenix is from Dick Kunsch telling everyone that the bank, and more importantly, your money is safe. All you need to do, when looking for irresponsibility, is to look across Main Street to the Wachovia Bank. They are the model for solvent bank biting off too much. Do you wonder why ATM fees are $2.50? (By the way Dick, nobody will withdraw all their money from your ATM because your fees are too high. It's a hometown bank, stop giving us the shaft). I have no problem paying a fee as a non bank customer but when that fee equals at least 12.5% of the minimum withdraw, that is a bit much. That argument from the banks were always that the fees were high to offset the cost of more rural atm locations. I don't know how many ATM's they operate. I assume they have one at each branch but they are easier to service than other locations.
